We went to the first ever Tunes in The Dunes festival at The Watering Hole in Perranporth, the only pub on the beach in Britain. Status Quo headlined on the Saturday and it was just fantastic to see them performing live.

However what was equally brilliant was the quality of the supporting bands; when we arrived Loose Salute was on stage and this is a really talented and original band.

Company B were next onstage doing their big band sound which had a lot of people up jiving and jitterbugging.

Wille and The Bandits followed, these guys are so good you might think you’d gone back in time and were listening to The Jimi Hendrix Experience at The Isle of Wight, if that’s your kind of music don’t miss the chance to see them performing live on The Green at the Polperro Festival or check out their website for future gigs.

The help we received from Bob at The Watering Hole, the boss though I didn’t know it, Tom his son and Jonty who ferried us down to the beach and back again afterwards in Bobs range rover, the security staff who helped get Robbie the best possible vantage point made it a truly memorable event for him. I can’t thank them enough!
